Southeast Asian Malacological Conference, 2022 (SAMC 2022)
(Jointly-hosted by Chulalongkorn University, Universiti Malaysia Sabah and National University of Laos)
Following the first information on the 1st International Congress of Southeast Asian Malacology that was to be held on the 16–17 December, 2021. As you know, the COVID pandemic situation is still on-going, so the committee met in August 2021 and decided to postpone the meeting once again to 14–15 July 2022.
This has now been changed to a virtual meeting and we are still looking forward to welcoming you online to the Southeast Asian Malacological Conference, 2022 (SAMC 2022) on 14–15 July 2022. This is the first time the conference will be organized with our colleagues in Southeast Asia, and holding the conference virtually will be a great opportunity for Southeast Asian malacologists and the rest of the world to explore ‘New Frontiers in the Early Transition Period’ as well as using digital and social media during the pandemic to reach a wide audience across the region.
We have planned for a range of keynote and invited talks on fundamental research as well as applied research from several groups of molluscs. The SAMC 2022 will be an outstanding opportunity to share the latest frontiers in research and discuss future directions in Southeast Asian malacology. The three universities (Chulalongkorn University, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, and National University of Laos) are happy to host this conference. The conference is free for everyone. If you are interested in attending the conference, please stay tuned to our details on registration on the website.
We are certain that all of you will find this conference stimulating, rewarding and meaningful.

We are looking forward to warmly welcoming you to the Southeast Asian Malacological Conference, 2022.
